Hi badminton central ! I'm currently a intermediate badminton player and i am wondering what string to put on my apacs edge saber 10. I am currently a player who likes control with drops but also like to smash hard when i get the chance. So im wondering what type of string would proberly be best for enhancing smashes with a loud POP sound which is pretty durable as well.
Please tell me ! i realli need this information !:crying::crying:

What racquet and strings and tension did you use before, and did you find them feeling too soft or too hard?

I'm tempted to say Yonex Nanogy 98. They're a powerful string and make a terrifying boom when you hit smashes. NBG98 is quite expensive but reasonably durable with awesome performance.

NBG98 is not available in NZ. BG80 is hard to find.

Hi, my edgesaber is currently at27 pounds and using the apacs ti 66 spider. I was thinking either BG80 or NBG 95 because i think it would be extremely hard to find a NBG 98 like jhirata said.

Well, if you don't mind buying online, check out Mybadmintonstore. They'll ship to NZ via airmail for free and have NBG98. It's not cheap but they do it.

If 27Lbs is good for you, use it for your next restring too.

I get the best feel with BG80 or BG85...NBG95/98 feels the touch is dulled out by the strings even at high tensions...

    I have a question.
Most players here use about 17 lbs (8 kg) of tension. Mostly they use BG80, BG95, BG65 and Flex 21.
What I read here, is that a lot of you use 22 lbs (10 kg) or more. So what's up with that? Are you all pro's, or am I missing something?

Crap... Ignore my post from above, it was meant for another topic!
And weird enough, all my posts have an EDIT-button, but the one above doesn't! Sorry... :)

It's because your only aloud to edit after 15 or less of the original post.

    On topic:
I would go for Bg80 because it's am all around string, Bg85 and Nbg 98 isn't bad but one is not too durable (BG85) and the other is said to be not very good in control for your drops and nets. But you should try experimenting with different strings to see which suits you best.

Good luck on finding a good one for yourself!!

I have 3 ES10 with different strings which I'll have the chance to test out tonight; BG80, BG85 (both 25lbs) and Ashaway (type unknown but I'll consider as a control) which I'll replace soon.

Performance aside, I think dark/black strings look ace on the ES10, although this shouldn't be your main consideration!!;)

im sponsored by apacs and have recently been testing the edgesaber 10.

i find bg80 sends to much vibration through the racket and with it being aimed more towards head light its difficult to get massive amounts of power. touch and controle is good though.

i tend to find bg65ti a good powerfull string with good controle.

    i string at 26x28 with bg80 27x29 with bg65ti
