To some, the excitement has just begun. To me, the qualifiers have done their best.

I was hoping badMania would start this thread and to give the match analysis for us.

    Men's Doubles
Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan [1] vs Hendra A. Gunawan/Alvent Yulianto Chandra -- the top-seed to take this one to set up a clash with Jung Jae Sung/Lee Yong Dae in the Final.

    Women's Doubles
Yang Wei/Zhang Jiewen [5] vs Meiliana Jauhari/Shendy Puspa Irawati [8] -- Mel/Shendy's performance have exceeded expectation. It will be a major bonus if they can beat the Chinese pair.

    Mixed Doubles
Nova Widianto/Liliyana Natsir [1] vs Joachim Fischer-Nielsen/Christinna Pedersen -- the Danish pair is on roll since late last year and it will be difficult for Nova/Butet to beat them. I hope the INA pair can prove me wrong.

Allrite Mel/Shendy & Nova/Butet, the die has been cast. Please prove how wrong badmania's prediction are. ;)

Seriously, I thought you'll cast MK/HS as the loser this time. I know I would....Hendra/Alvent has been quite solid so far.

So looks like our hope depends on Kido/Setiawan who likely will challenge Jae Sung/Young Dae in final tomorrow.

Li Mao is warming up his new star player, PSH.

I am seated alone on the upper tier, on top of tv cams, reporters and commentators.

    Now for the predictions:

    XD:
Fischer Nielsen/Pedersen over Nova/Lily - Danes are in better form but Hauge is confident Nova/Lily will pull through
Lee/Lee over Sudket/Saralee - Oympic gold means something, you know

    WS:
WC over TR - Wang Chen is better at getting out of trouble
ZM over PHY - Pi will be much too exhausted to give a decent fight

    MS:
PSH over HYH - probable 3 gamer with Park's superior fitness deciding the outcome
LCW over Gade - 3rd meeting in less than a month, outcome will be the same

    WD:
YW/ZJW over MJ/SPI - totally different class, these two pairs.
LKW/LHJ over CYC/CWH - Koreans the better of the two dormant pairs

    MD:
MK/HS over AYC/HG - Kido's injury won't stop them trying to defend their title
LYD/JJS over NR/AC - Koreans to win but English pair might give them some trouble

Pederson's trick placemnt is wide, she's struggling a bit now.
