We gotta be realistic, LCW is never gonna be up there with LD. LD is up there with the Rudy Hartonos, Liem Swie Kings etc.
But in years to come, say 20 years from now, people will still remember LCW ... as a nearly man. Yes, he thrilled thousands with his skills and all but when it comes to that big prize, he came out short.
And I think the Beijing Olympic final between LD and LCW will be remembered as a contest between a true master and a pretender.

pretender? Who is pretending?

Do you know LCW personally? Hopefully, you are not too childish to use newspaper news as a reference.
I think you are the first person who would compare LCW with Rudy Hartono, Liem Swie King etc.
One country's best doesn't make him/her a "true master" or legend. LCW is all MAS has to offer at the moment. Live with it!

you are right, age factor is the main obstacle to LCW now
unless he still have 7-9 years of active badminton in him
or he is 5 years younger....but i hope he can nail at least one
BIG title before he retiree.....
but i can say that he is the best single player we have for the
past 20 years...
abt OG....you are right, LD is the true master...but DLCW is
not a pretender as he is only 2nd to LD....

i suggest you read carefully Pemuda post...
i think he is not comparing LCW with them...
he is comparing LD instead...
edit your post if possible....or else

he will say LCW is not worth mentioning with Rudy or Lim Swie King
you are right, LCW is all MAS have at the moment and we are proud of him

Boy, do yourself a little favour. Take danielwong's advise, read my posting again carefully. Use a magnifying glass if need be and have a dictionary next to you.
Where and when did I compare LCW to Rudy Hartono & company??
Rudy Hartono, Liem Swie King, Rexy/Ricky, PJB/KMS ... these are all legends, agree?? Now, do you know them personally??
I rest my case. And please no throwing toys out of that pram, ok?? Dont be childish and all ...
