'ello mates! a friend of mine got me this wilson tennis grip cuz he couldnt find and badminton grip. I was wondering if i could put it on my wilson with out causeing and trouble to my b-minton play and racquet.... please post ypur ideas
Well Yonex Supergrap is also used for tennis, so it might actually work. The only problems I see with tennis grips is that they might be overly thick.
Some karakal grips are esigned for badminton and tennis. It should be ok just a bit long. So he will have to cut it while gripping
I'd imagine it's a replacement grip? From my experience, tennis grips are too thick for badminton racquets. I had a Babolat tennis Syntec replacement grip and i found it far too thick and heavy. My racquets original balancing point of 295mm, became 280mm, making it fairly headlight. That said, Karakal's replacement grips, especially the P U super grip. Can be used for both Tennis and Badminton. They're not overly thin nor overly thick.
i once used wilson tennis grip for my badminton racquet but after a while i wanted to try something new, not because wilson grips are bad or anything.
Only difference between Tennis grips and Badminton grips is length or any racket sport at that. If you use a tennis grip on a badminton racket, you just have to cut more (or overlap more).
Yes. Or you can tie the tennis grip up pass the cone, looked very professional. all the way mid shaft, just like Sigit Burdiarto of Indonesia.
however, if you grip your racquet to the shaft, it will cause slight damage to the shaft because you will be forcing the racquet to flex with great amount of stress, especially when you use rubber grip, but towel SHOULD be better but best not to risk it.
I use Head SuperComp overgrip, which is for tennis rackets. It is wider and shorter than proper badminton grip tape, but it works great for me. I've never used tennis replacement grips, and I am doubtful that they would be much good; too thick, I would think, and you wouldn't be able to feel the bevels on the handle
lol thanks for the comments. (thats actually my old acc that got banned because apparently my bro asked oldhand to ban it =__= ) i figured best not risk it and i bought a yonex wave grap. works well. ill save my tennis grip for my tennis racquet.
