Coming from a mixed marriage family (mom is chinese & dad is malay), I am really lucky to enjoy 2 festivals yearly.

Normally, for CNY, and this year is no different, we will balik kampung to Seremban (my grandparents - mom's side, place). I get to enjoy CNY with my cousins etc. And we will spend the days playing poker, mahjong etc all day. And since my girlfriend wont be around, I will do some yam seng sessions too :p:D vodka with lime ... heaven :p. I also enjoy my grandma's cooking especially her world famous chicken rice and steamed fish during the reunion dinner.

So, Kong Hee Fatt Choy to all and may 2009 brings us world peace and love.

    Food

Guys, every CNY at my grandparents house, my grandma will serve this hotdog looking sausage. I mean it look like dried meat but it is actually a sausage. Very tasty :p My grandma normally serve it together with porridge.

Do any of you know what it is called?

    Are you talking about KIKIAM?

Yummy. But TIKOY is more popular during CNY.

I used to know how to play mahjong. But I've forgotten how. However, I still know how to play Tong-its, which is also like mahjong.

Pretty similar I guess. Each player is given 5 cards each face-down. Lovely game but I believe the key is the 'working capital'.

    This one?

There are two kinds: the small ones and the big ones. They're served with a very delicious sauce.
