What's happend to the Indonesians, who in the past used to dominate the Men's singles event and to lesser extant Men's doubles. There is no Indonesian top Men's singles player, taufik is an old player who past his best and Sony, is not consistant and not amongst top players. I like to congralute Peter for winning the title, he is in early 30s when he beat the in form, much younger and fit player like Lee.
I agree! Sadly, the Chinese didn't participated, it would truly measure the Danes and their coach. Still, the Danes are a Major force in Badminton, Internationally. Hoping the English will catch up!
Yes, it's a shame that the English are not the major force in Europe, even though Badminton is the largest participant sport in England. English Men's doubles team are doing well but not that great. The problem is that Badminton is not a major sport and not highly paid, in a country that basically made the sport for what it is. For Denmark, if you look at the winners, they are all in their late 20s and for Peter, who is in his early 30s. There are very few talented young Danes, compared to the Asians.
