I have read lots of posts of people asking which racquet will make them smash faster, but it's all very dependant on their own level of technique and power etc.

What I would like to know is if someone was to have the perfect smashing technique and world record power, which of the fllowing racquets (NS9000X, NS8000, AT700, AT900P, MP100, AT800-of, Ti-10) would maximise that persons smashing speed?

if you are a fast swinger, go for NS series.....
if you have ultimate power, go For AT series....
so far i know that AT700 is an ultimate smash gear....
    and Ti10 too....

Would the world record have been faster with a different racquet though?
Or is everyone of the thought that the best racquet to deliver that elusive perfect smash would be a Ti-10.

Was hoping for real opinions about the 7 rackets at the start of the thread rather than jokes. Anyway, i just rang Fu Haifeng and he said he was busy watching TV :D.

I was being sort of sarcastic when I said that but more because honestly, the question you asked can't be answered in a way. For example, people always ask, "which string gives the most power?" and the answer varies. Also, take myself for example, I feel that I get more power with the Ti-10 than an AT700. Does that mean that everyone else gets the same result? No, right?

I get your point and realise you were just joking :). I guess my question is not based on which racket will give me the fastest smash because that will depend on my swing, i'm more of a defensive player anyway. I just wondered if there was a racket that is generally meant to be the most powerful assuming that you have perfect technique and swing speed etc. I suppose it would be the one with the stiffest shaft and the most head heavy balance, any thouhgts?

Out of the current Yonex rackets, I would say that most players hail the AT700 to be the most powerful.

While you maybe have the ultimate smashing technique, your technique will still be individual and certain racquets will produce a faster smash than others.

For the ultimate smash I would go for an Armortec 700 strung with either NGB98 or BG65ti
