All victor rackets are good for smashing. all victor rackets are good for singles. all victor rackets are good for doubles. All victor rackets are good for defense.

List what you want from a racket. Head heavy, Head light, weight, limit price, etc. it would really help anyone trying to recommend you a racket.

I would like to throw out the Super nano pro 7. excellent racket. So is the Columbia Ti-29

I got 2 x Victor racquet myself and I can say that it is good.

Victor is one of those companies that invest money in R&D and comes up with their own technology. Victor racquets are pretty sturdy and though it is not as expensive as Yonex, it performs very well.

I have the Brave Sword 2008, and it is a versatile racquet which i use for both singles and doubles.

Tempted to get the new version, Brave Sword 09, which is slightly less stiff and also has vibration absorbing grommets.

BS08 also have vibration absorbing grommets at 3 and 9 o'clock position. check your racket. imho, the 'Shockless' technology they carried over from Artery series do not work well in BS08.

I liked my Super Nano (original) for singles, which I just broke today. Wondering how the BS08 and SW31 compare to the super nano (1). Thanks.

The BS08 does looks abit like the ARC10 in terms of the color (red) and specs pretty similar also, but I think the BS08 is easier to use as I feel it is not as stiff.

If you look through the forum, there are people who find the ARC10 difficult to adapt to but the BS08 belongs to the category of easy to adapt racquet.

It is a good racquet and I think you won't regret getting it.

The BS08 paintwork is not that durable especially the portion which is red. Not too sure about the BS09 but the paintwork seems more durable.

BTW, not too sure if BS08 is still available on the market.

This is quite subjective as it depends on usage and how you use it. Well, so far I don't have a habit of breaking racquets. I don't string my racquet very high (normally 26lbs) and I also avoid clashing my racquets with my partners. Also, I seldom mishit so the shuttle don't hit my racquet's frame often which is a major contributor to racquet breakage.

I would say Victor racquets are durable as I have a racquet which flew out of my hand several times as the grip wasn't good and surprisingly, the damages are minimal.

I have seen many beginners breaking their racquets and they wonder why the racquets are so fragile. The thing is they constantly mishit the shuttle on the frame and even hit the ground with the racquet. I sold a perfectly good condition Fischer to my beginner friend and he broke it in his 3rd session !
