    This is what I believe.

To be a top Badminton player, firstly he/she must be talented in it. Then comes his/her determination to work hard at training to excel in it.

We can see talented players lazy at training, and they don't get to the top. We can also see 'not so talented' players working hard with determination at training, and they also don't get to the top.

So, only talented players who have the determination to work hard at training can excel in Badminton.

Thats what Taufik say during the interview, they asked if he let his daughter playing badminton, but he answered it depends if she had talent, if she do then go on....
Well, even talented people start from newbie, they cant suddenly be a good player. It depends on how (hard) we develop our skill too ...

I still recall when a reporter ask Misbun "What it takes to be World Champion"

"Bakat... Bakat... Bakat..." (Talent talent talent)

Hardwork can take you to certain level but u need TALENT to be world champion. But of cause Talent without hardword is ZERO!

Then Misbun himself is 'no-talent player' since he also didnt ever won the WC.

HH is unbelievable. Leading 16:4 in the 3rd game and finally lost 18:21. Of course, he has done this before, in 2006 AG, he led LHI 19:9 in the first and then lost the match (Something like 6:21 in the 2nd game). But of course, LHI is like two levels above Zwiebler...

But we should give credits to Marc Zwiebler and the rising standard of Badminton Germany.

Yesterday, at Round 1, Marc Zwiebler defeated Wong Choong Hann [Seeded 4] 21-18, 18-21, 21-12 in 53 mins.

If HH is known as Mr. Yo-yo, then it's believable.
You are smart to not PAW for him.

    Default Please ...

Dont try to justify the wishy washy stuff going on in Malaysia by comparing a football match between Denmark & Sweden. They are light years ahead of us. People will laugh.

Default HH for our TC squad next year??

We have a nice little scenario here.

Lets be honest, we aint going to win the TC next year, period.

What we need to do is make the best out of our TC outing.

Are we going to include HH or even KBH into our TC squad? Given the poor quality of shuttlers in our backyard, I believe most likely we will have no choice but to go with HH ... or KBH .... or both (so that they can hold each other's hands).

So, the reality is we aint going to win ... maybe making the semis this time may be a challenge. Despite having home ground advantage and easy access to teh tarik, nasi lemak bungkus, papadam, milo ais, the world tallest flag pole being a mere 40 minute drive from the stadium, etc ... we will still come out short.

But ... BAM can make Malaysians happy since we got nothing to lose.

I mean, HH and KBH have participated in previous TCs before. Why not give others a chance?? And I am not talking about our back up or juniors or elite back up shuttlers. I am saying why dont BAM do something like American Idol to find two shuttlers to fill the MS#2 & MS#3 slots? I am sure thousands of Malaysians + Indonesians,Banglas,Vietnamese etc with red identity cards will attend. The format should be similar to American Idol i.e. audition a few thousands and select about 30 and then run a series of elimination rounds. The best 2 goes straight into our TC squad.

If doing the reality do is out of BAM's budget, then why dont we recognise our past shuttlers and give them the two slots. I am sure there are many uncles, aunties, grandpas & grandmas out there who would love to see greats like Tan Yee Khan or James Selvaraj making a comeback.

Yes ... yes .. we may get a beating if we do any of the two above ... but heck ... with HH and KBH, we are still going to get a beating and a nose bleed in our own backyard. So, why not make the fans happy and get a beating at the same time?
