This probably has been brought up before but we need more companies in it. Like many other people said yonex is overshadowing badminton too much, there are many other great companies such as forza, ashaway, winnex just to name a few. I am supprised just to see a couple of people put in reviews for forza, and that the muscle power 100 reviews are more than double of the unlisted racquets.

if its no pain in the behind to just put a few more companies in then plz do it, if it is really hard then don't bother i guess we can live with it.

    just a suggestion

I think the Review Section needs to be completely remodeled. To submit a review, you enter information into different fields, that will be displayed in an organized way when it is shown. Example:

    Brand: Yonex
    Model: MP 90 JP
    Length: 10mm long
    Weight: 2U
    Grip Size: G4
    String: BG 70 Pro
Tension: 19 lbs Main, 21 Cross
    Grip/Overgrip: Karakal Super PU
    Price: $9182309124 Yen
Commentary: I like this racquet, it makes me play good. (Obviously something better and longer than this)
    Ratings - Out Of Ten:
    Power: 9/10
    Control: 8/10
    Maneuverability: 10/10

Also, some of the fields would be mandatory, such as Brand, Model, Commentary and Ratings. This would help prevent all the stupid entries I see such as the following:

I REALLY LIKE THIS RACQUET!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S THA BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMBBB!!!!!!!! I CAN SMASH SUPER GOOD WITH IT NOW AND I OWN MY FRIENDS!!! I REALLY LIKE THIS RACQUET AND I RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE WHO PLAYS BADMINTON EVEN IF THEY ARE ALREADY HAPPY WITH THEIR OWN RACQUET!!!!! I PLAY SO MUCH BETTER NOW WITH IT AND PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS COMMENTING ON HOW MY POWER HAS IMPROVED!!!!!! EVERYONE GO BUY ONE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was rather fun to write. :)

Kwun? I know we probably sound like a bunch of whiners, but are you planning to change the reviews section, or are you in the process of it?

Think of us as your marketing think tanks that will help your site gain more attention. :)

    Kwun,

When do you plan on updating the BC homepage completely? Not only does the reviews section need sorting out, BUT it seems the BC page is getting a bit dated. Sorry to be a bother to you :D

my dear think tank (whiners), how about some suggestions on how the BC page should be organized??

should i just make the info more up-to-date? or should i do something drastically different?

before al the idea gets thrown in, there is one thing that cannot be done:

    - badminton video - absolutely impossible. not enough bandwidth

but what else? i need to know content types, and well as how to organize them.

and also be realistic, if you are planning to suggest badminton news, you should also consider how i am gonig to get all these news from...

    thanks!!

    Kwun,

Why not create a new thread then and make it sticky??

    Kwun,

I bet some of us could help you with your site. You know, designing templates and other stuff. I would be in as long as it doesn't involve programming knowledge of any sort. :)

    Kwun,

Me too, i have quite a bit of knowledge about website designing, just not all this other stuff. So how about BCF becomes a community website where we all participate :D

    yah... some immature lil brats...
    speaking of which
I think the review section should not be open to public for posting after it gets updated... but rather lik BF, where you have to login before u can submit a post... or better yet... move it completely over to BF

isn't it in the process of being moved over now? I think anons should be able to post reviews too or otherwise we'll lose alot of input from people who don't want to register.

    Ideas for new BC site:

-maybe links to badminton video's, like worldbadminton.com, etc.. Like people can e-mail you sites that have downloadable badminton video, and you can check it and put it on the site.

-maybe some badminton trivia or something

-basic techiques, probably some of the faqs in the forum can be transferred there

    -articles

-links to useful information, maybe racket manufactures

    -new reviews section

    Any more idea's guys?
