Anyone heard of this brand? anyonet tried them? any reviews would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks! http://www.badmintonalley.com/Luxilon_Badminton_Supersense_String_p/string-luxilon-supersense.htm
Federer doesn't play all Luxilon. He has a hybrid job of Lux Big Banger and Wilson natural gut. Anyway, I'm tempted to try them as I love Lux tennis strings.
I got a couple of Luxilon Badminton Supersense 0.67mm (string ... with a ping!) for free a while back. I tried one set (in Sep 2007) at 20lb and it felt quite tight. It did indeed "ping!". No real complaint or praise about it, just a comment on its "hard" feeling. edit: just looking at the reviews on that link, I may have to give my remaining set another try, but on a stiffer racquet this time I think (it was on my flexible one last time)
Give me the Bang I personally would hate to have a string that Pings....I want to know it when I hit it....not some wimpy ping
Big Banger with a Ping is like Explosion with a Pop....We need the Smiles emoticons with the one "roll on the floor laughing"....I had a dream last nite and when I hit the shuttlecock it went Ping...Oh my god....:crying:
This comment sounds like the string was some kind of heavy duty wire -.-!... And wow... I'm not really fond of such xD... that really does sounds like turning your string into some kind of 5lbs more than you used to? Maybe someone with better review is kind of waited. (DinkALot?) Since the rest of the comment is not satisfying enough to try a string with twice the price of Yonex's (excluding The Made in Japan)
within the last week I restrung 3 of my airblades with Ashaway MicroLegend, so you'll have to wait for one of them to break before I can re-test my last set. I do seem to remember it was awkward to string. Much like some horrible tennis poly
I tried the Luxilon Supersense today on an Apacs AMP95 at 27 lbs. Excellent control, I can direct the shuttle precisely where I want it to go. Power seems to be good. String seems somewhat slippery when slicing the shuttle. Smashes were decent. For some reason, I am not able to do overhead clears properly. Could be because of the high string tension. The guy who did the stringing is a pro and said that the 27 lb bed feels a lot tighter than that. I had the Nanogy 95 at 28 lbs prior to the the Luxilon and theres a world of difference between the two. The NGY95 had a lot more repulsion, a lot less control and lot of power initially. Certainly, the Luxilon at 27 lbs feels tighter than the NGY95 at 28lbs. Hope this helps. PS: For the players who love the 'explosive' sound of their smahes, you can forget it on the Luxilon. You barely hear anything.
