Well, compared to IE anyway. Images tend to load faster with IE than FireFox on my computer..

Firfox is more safer, it's more faster for some people because it depends what kind of internet you use. If you have dial up, not much people suggest using firfox because Firfox was made for broadband users.

Those are probably ActiveX stuff or ASP pages that are propietary in manner, where only IE or IE based webpages can access them properly.

Switch man - a very staunch Microsoft supporter at the HQ of my company kept harping about IE until he tested Firefox for himself at home. He does agree it is much faster and safer too.

But if you enjoy pop ups, malwares, redirection of start pages as well as auto advertising, IE would be good.

Try surfing http://www.meyerweb.com/eric/css/edg...iral/demo.html with both browsers and see for yourself.

I have this problem intermittently with FireFox 1.5.01, I do not know if the problem is browser specific or not.

Just thought I'd report this, I'm not actually bothered about my post count or anything.

Edit: I realised this was an old thread, I just didn't see the point in making a new thread about the same problem.

I don't think the broswer matter, I believe some of the forums doesn't increase the post number and that is set by the admin.

I would like to know why if Kuwn would kindly explain to us.

    hi guys,
I have been noticing it lately that my message counter is behaving erratically for past couple of months. Has anyone noticed it?
Moderators, can something be done about it?
    thanks,

I don't know if this is the same problem that badmad has encountered but my last few posts have all been number 144 ie the counter number hasn't increased

I have posted quite a few messages since the message counter was 178 (almost 20-30 more) but my counter hasn't increased since then. It's struck at 178.

Certain forum sections don't do the count, i.e. market place, chit-chat, etc. Not sure if such explaination apply.

I noticed it didn't change when I posted in the chit-chat forum but I thought that might be deliberate, but I've also posted in the General Forum and I am still on #144. It doesn't really bother me but it is a bit odd
