    Hi everyone,

I just joined and I'm looking for a place to play. I live on the border of RI & MA and am looking for somewhere close if at all possible. I'd really like to not have to travel up to Boston b/c of the traffic.

Anyone know of anything closer to the RI area?

I haven't played Badminton since High School, but I loved it and I was pretty good back then (I play hard). So I would have to call myself a beginner as I know I'm out of shape and WAY out of practice.

    Nice to meet everyone here!

Your best best is Maugus Club in Wellesley, MA.

I think the one in Quincy would be closer for me than Wellesley. But thanks. I was just hoping there'd be something a little closer. I guess Badminton isn't very popular here on the east coast...

    Hi folks...

I just joined. There is no place to play in RI? Back many years ago I played many of the local tennis tournaments. There was a guy who played in some of the tourneys, "old-timer" then, who supposedly was a good badminton player. I believe his last name was Phillips or McPhillips? Familiar?

    Chrishin...

    Chrishin...

Do me a big favor? When you get to URI, let me know if you learn of places to play. It's a non-existent sport down here, it seems.

I'm a former tennis player w/ a bad shoulder who now plays table tennis at the RI Table Tennis Club in Cumberland.(northern RI)....have not been there in a while... I would like to play badminton as well.

I'm a URI Alum!! Go RAMS!!

i think you could go play at URI. just you'll have to pay for their membership. Once i arrive i'll figure out their schedule.
