I am thinking about buying the Carlton Fireblade S-lite and was wondering if it was any good, i like headlight rackets and already have the aeroblade but need another racket incase strings break or something and want a good one. Also is the iso and better then a normal headshape?

    Thx for any helpful responses

mate, its a great racket. Very responsive, very very headlight ive never played with another racket thats as quick. broke mine about six months ago and ive bought six rackets since, and i now just want my carlton back :( only thing id say is that i only play doubles and im a very front based player where speed and racket speed is necessary. Not sure about what it would be like in singles. but buy one!!! im going to :D

When you do have to go back what is the power like because I play mixed doubles quite often so that would be important and on one website it said it was 84g unstrung but i'm not sure if that is right because it says my other racket is 85g unstrung which it the strung weight. Also any ideas about Iso or normal headshape?
    Thx for the response

id definately say its around the 84 mark. I had it strung with bg80 at 24lbs and it was more or less 85. I know that the oval head is better for smashing whereas the iso is best for control. It depends upon what part of your game is more important. Being a headlight racket its not the best for smashing, you might want to try the karakal sl70 if you want a decent lightweight racket that smashes. but for defense its unbeatable, it gives you an extra edge to push the pace of the game whichever way you please.

Other way round. In general, isos have larger sweetspots but that's besides the point, if you can hit the sweetspot consistently, you can hit hard with either headshape.

Personally, I recommend the Karakal MTec 70. It's light an manoeuvrable at the net but can generate a huge smash if you really unload.

    :D

As in Isos have a larger sweetspot (in general) than ovals but that is besides the point of my post.

larger sweetspot means better smash? i thought sweetspot just improved accuracy. It improves power!?
