Hi everyone, Like to introduce myself. I've been playing badminton since the early 80's up until the end of my varsity days. Having fun and competing OBA and varsity tournaments. My best achievement and most memorable moment was in Burnaby, BC representing Ontario at the Canadian College Nationals where we took the bronze medal within Canada. I haven't played since but started enjoying the sport again and currently teaching badminton. I came across this forum and I really enjoy it. Cheers, James
Wow, that's an impressive resume. It's great that you are coaching and passing on your skills. No doubt some of us will learn from your posts here too. Welcome!
Thanks for the kind words. Actually my friends and who I competed in the past have alot better resume than me. I actually had the opportunity to compete in the same tourney in BC with the #1 singles player in Canada back in the 90's and picked up alot from him. Can you believe it, he wasn't even on the main squad in China. I think some of you know who I'm talking about. I enjoy teaching...keeps me busy.
Welcome.. ..to BCDF, zipperat (James)!..Good to have another long-time baddy enthusiast in here. Any plan to compete in local tournaments, again?.. Anyway, keep visiting us and enjoy your time surfing in here!
It has been a long long time since I competed but looking to enter in some 40+ Masters Tourney if I can find any this year. My timing and stamina is coming back. Hopefully my rusty old arm and shoulder will hold. Looking forward to seeing some old faces on the court soon.... Cheers!
