I haven't played badminton in the past few years due to time constraints, work/school.. but hope to get back into the sport.. I used to be an intermediate level player but probably will need some work to get back to that level.. If anyone is interested in play/practice/training on a regular basis -at least once a week?- or so then please PM me? Anyone who is already playing on a regular basis and can use a new addition please let me know also? I live in the North York area but do not mind travelling to mississauga, scarborough, richmond hill, vaughan, dt, or anywhere in the GTA to play.. I've put badminton aside for too long so am determined to play once agian ^_^... Any input would be appreciated..
cool, I live in north york as well. In which particular area do you reside? Coz my closest landmark is York U
You are welcome to join us (near Leslie&Hwy407) if you are an intermediate (and above) player. We mainly play competitive doubles (feather birds only), currently regular 10 players (all are intermediate or plus) and 3 courts for about 3 hours at the night of every Tuesday. Just come to see and you will not regret, I bet. More details are in this link: http://www.ibctoronto.com/mb/
Hi Guys, Please check my recent post regarding holding a tournament in Vaughan. It would be nice to bring together all of us who want to get back to the game. Please let me know if you would be interested. Thanks, Bhupinder
Hey badarora, this post has been on for a long time now.. not sure if it's still active.. I'd love to get back into the game but I don't know if I'm ready for tourneys yet.. I'd like to go play more though..
Hi Coolbuzz, That is the whole point..just want to bring people back to game. I am not thinking of anything at a grand scale for the tournament. Just think of this as a local get together of all the players in the region. We anyways pay 5 or so dollars to play for one session... The idea is to chip in 10 bucks or so per head and reserve the facility for a weekend and have some fun following the rules of a standard tournament and declare a winner and runners up in the end with medals as recognition. As for the regular games I know the same facility (Dufferin -clark) that I am thinking of for the tourney will resume their badminton sessions in Jan. Thanks, Bhupinder
Hi miliken, Is this for summer only or whole year round? Where is the location? Any age limit? More details please. Thxs.
re: we play all year; no age limit; OBA "C" or better player accepted. we played at scarborough. Thanks bfcabadminton@gamil.com
