What are your recommended activities for training? Each session would last and hour to and hour and a half. I would want to cover as much useful exercises as the team im going to coach in the period. (nothing special. they just want me to coach a team for their school intramurals. ;) )

here is my typical group lesson plan.

Here is a group drill set i usually will run. this is more beginner - intermediates typically in the high school age group.

you are welcome to use the schedule. typically i would keep a workout to between 45 min to an hour, let them play games for the remainder of the time. if you want them to get fitness and strength as well, you can add in suitable running/skipping and strength drills as well. perform strength drills at the trail end of the session.

    Action Time Elapsed
    Warm up 0
    · Stretching 3 min 3
    · Heart rate 5 min 8

    Half court with partner
    · mid court clears 1 min 9
    · full court clears 2 min 11
    · half speed smash first partner 1 min 12
    · half speed smash other partner 1 min 13
    · full speed smash first partner 2 min 15
    · full speed smash other partner 2 min 17
    · drop shot first partner 2 min 19
    · drop shot other partner 2 min 21
    · drives shot 2 min 23
    · net shot 2 min 25

    Movement
    · Front back movement, 3 x 6 3 min 28
    · Side-side movement, 3 x 6 3 min 31
    · 4 corner movement (6 corners), 3 x 3 5 min 36
    · Shadow drills (optional)

    · Doubles service – 50 5 min 41

    sorry about the missing tabs

looks like the spacing got screwed up. there are three columns:

action, duration of drill (minutes), elapsed time from start of session (minutes).
