Starting June 2009, we will play at SJK (C) Confucian, until Kwong Hon's hall is ready to use. I have reserved for Wednesday night, the same time from 7pm till 9pm.
The address is 6KM, Jalan Sg Besi, KL.. Confucian is actually next to SJK (C) Tai Thong. If you come from Besraya Sg Besi Toll, you can see SJK (C) Tai Thong on your left, then after you can see a turning to left to go Tai Thong; Confucain is the one after Tai Thong junction, you can see signboard at the junction. Once you turn in to that junction, you just drive straight and you can see Confucain at the end of that road.

Thanks for arranging alternative sessions. However, I won't be able to make it on Wednesday's due to other commitments. I'll just wait for Kwong Hon to be completed.

Here's a map of the place for anyone who needs directions.

So are we resuming playing in Kwong Hon next week, or is it still at Confucian?

    Thanks.

Edward sent an e-mail out on Tuesday to members, stating the following:

    Hi All,
I've spoken to the headmaster yesterday and he advised that the renovation has not really been completed. Because they still leave the scaffolding around and maybe other things, so to avoid accident, I suggest we wait till next week. So this week we still play at SJKC Confucian, see you there!

    Thank you.

    Hi Members,
i hate to tell you that the hall is still not ready to use.
I went to check on the hall myself, as I email to the member of Board of School Director, no one answered me back. So I found the box-up for aircon ducting is not done, still got a lot more work to do. Beside box up, they still need their aircon contractor to cut holes for the air to come out ( air outlets ), so I don't know how long that will need.
As they have fixed the ceiling, so they have also changed the whole lighting for the hall, but because of that, the electrical consumption is higher, the rating has increased, so the existing MCB cannot take it, so few of them trip. So this is another problem I found while I was there talking to the contractor who is working on the partition work ( box up ).
I really is helpless and can only say sorry to all of you again. I think this coming Tuesday is not possible also. I will update you all again later, to see whether this coming Thursday is ok. So for those who play at Confucian now, please continue to do so for this week. If Thursday is on, we play one more session lah
Once again, sorry for the delay.

Minimum at least 5-6. Sometimes we play with the people next to us, so no problem finding people to play. Coming ??

    Good News !!
The person in charge of the renovation just called up this morning, and he adviced that the hall shall be ready by Monday, with new paint, new lighting and improved flooring condition.
I will see you all there next Tuesday, from 7pm. Thank you.
Thanks you all for waiting patiently.

Once we get back there, I want to propose the following :
    1. to have one coaching clinic every month, on Tuesday, from 8pm to 10pm ( tentatively ) conducted by either Wong Choong Hann or Chew Choon Eng together with their assistants; and
    2. to organise ourselves for friendly match(es).

Very soon, our assistant coaches will also join in to our badminton session ( once a month or more ), together with my partners around. So you guys will have plenty of opportunity to challange them

Default Friday Morning Badminton Session ( Club )

FYI, I have started another session in the Friday morning, from 8am to 10am at Seri Petaling Community Hall.
The fee is RM60.00 per month, inclusive of court rental, shuttlecock and badminton coaching once a month, conducted or head by Wong Choong Hann or Chew Choon Eng and their senior coaches.
For badminton session, we will limit around 8 persons per court while for coaching is 4 persons per court. Max member targeted is 16 ( to 20 ). Meaning for coaching, we will divide the group into 2 and one of the group will have to have it at another day ( other than Friday ), because we want to keep it to 4 persons per court and we can only have max. 2 courts ( depending on the booking ).
So if anyone of you ( I only open to Member of Kwong Hon Badminton Club or resident of Seri Petaling ) is interested, please let me know by this Wednesday, 8th July. Thank you.

Wow! I don't think 'play with the PRO' is the right word, more like 'tortured by the PRO'. Unless we're playing 3 against 1. And they're playing with their weaker hand. Blindfolded.
