Hey guys, there is already a badminton thread for montreal... but LITERALLY 1/2 THE PLACES have changed price, hours, and some dont even play at all, it's very outdated so i decided to revive a thread

*if forum mod decide to remove this, please do but i think this would be better...

for those who play badminton a lot, sometimes we have a hard time looking for a palce to play when we have the urge or some places are ridiculously far or overpriced so yeah.

if it's not too much work place as much info as possible
    -location
    -price
    -hours
    -days
    -competition level

    6$
    9am-230pm
competitition can ranges from beginner to b ranks with the occasional a rank here and there

    jean talon community center[patro prevoste]
    6$
    9am-4pm sundays
16 dam courts, mostly players who play for fun/health, not much competition

u guys all know the ymca chinatown... almost everyday almost all day...

    cegpe andre laurendeau[saturday]
they have a website, just google ''montreal racket sports''
8$, competition is usually low c-ranks to a rank

BTW IT WOULD BE NICE IF YOU GUYS COULD MENTION ANY PLACES IN BROSSARD/LONGUEIL/GREENFIELD PARK OR CLOSE! THANKS

Good idea to make a new thread for this! The other thread was large and obsolete. I'm going to add two:

    NDG/CDN borough (Notre-Dame-de-Grâce/Côte-des-Neiges)
gym of the Manoir NDG, near Metro Villa Maria
    60$ for 10 weeks (75$ if it's the first time), 5$ drop-in
Tuesday and Thursday 6.00pm to 10.00pm
    Recreative play, beginner to intermediate

    Montreal West
About 100$ per year (September to June), about 50$ for residents of Mtl-West
Elizabeth Ballantyne school gym, Mon-Wed, 7.00pm-10.00pm
Royal West school gym, Tue-Fri, 7.00pm-10.00pm
Recreative play, beginner to high intermediate

lol you could play badminton at Vanier college for free now. There's a schedule posted on the board i think it's sumwhere between 12pm-4pm Thursday and monday 2-4. not sure though.

edit: The schedule said "Free badminton". Im not sure if it's only for Vanier student or not but if it is, just pretend to be one :D.

The Lakeshore Badminton Association (LBA) represents a lot of clubs, mainly in the west of Montreal.

    http://www.lba-abl.org

We also run a team league throughout the season November-April in both plastic and feather. As well, there is an Open Doubles Tournament in April.

We are always looking for new players to join, new teams to compete, or new clubs!

We are updating our website, but most of the clubs, and their info, is listed here:

    http://www.lba-abl.org/en/clubs.htm

Feel free to contact us if we can help in any way - our goal is to get more people playing, competing and having fun in this great sport.

    The Montreal Badminton Club

Only club that supplies feather birds, if you just want good games and friendly atmosphere, this is the place, but not easy to get in. Plays twice a week mon. & wed nights downtown.

    Brandon,

What is the level of players at ndg badminton, as I live by that area but haven't had the chance to check it out. I am a beginner player so not exactly sure where I suit best for my type of play. Thanks.

The level is intermediate to advanced. Although its getting stronger, used to be very weak now that its become more popular they don't accept beginners. At least strong provincial C level and up for the men, for women its open to beginners and higher.
