I string at 23/25, and the frame bend to one side. I know the recommendation is 18-22, but with 1 extralb, does that really caused the bend?
What stringing machine do you have? Please post photos of your stringing process and the frame so we can help you. How bended is your frame to one side? CAB 21 can take more than 30 lbs.
No, I don't have a picture to show. Im using eagnas st-250. It did not bend a lot, slightly, but is obvious enough. I also read from some posts that there's always a risk of bending the frame if the tension is over the recommendation by the manufacturer. Is that true? Also, do the numbers of knots make a difference in this case? I did 2 knots, since I heard from some people that that's the better method to reduce tension loss. Thanks for your reply.
Did you string the last main at +10% reference tension? Once, I strung an oval racquet at 24/26 with the last main on one side strung at 26 and the other 24. Cross was done at 26 except for the last one which was strung at 28. The side with last main strung at 26 was rounder while the one strung at 24 was actually oval. From then on,I always tension the last main of oval racquets at reference tension. I am not sure if this helps but it is one experiment I have done with oval racquets as they need more skill to string than the isometrics.
No, I strung the all Main at 23, and all crosses at 25. Is it really more difficultto string an oval racquect than an isometric?
23x25 is consider very normal to today's standard. Double check the mounting and the clamp (might be too loose to lose too much tension), etc.
