On Day 3, we found Flandy Limpele/Halim Heryanto Ho defeating the top-seed in the MD.
Flandy Limpele/Halim Heryanto Ho will now face Tony Gunawan/Howard Bach [6] at the Quarter-Finals.

It looks like Gan Teik Chai/Tan Bin Shen could make it to the SF too.

Flandy Limpele/Anastasia Russkikh defeated the Japanese pair comfortably and they will have a tough test against Han Sang Hoon/Kim Min Jung [7] today.

I am still following Wong Choong Hann. But today, he will face Chen Long who appears to be in great form.

    Cheers... chris-ccc

Interesting match between former World Champ Tony/Howard against Flandy/Halim. Also MAS seasoned shuttler Wong Choong Han vs CHN rookie Chen Long.

The 3 unseeded players and the top seed are "expected" to advance.

2009 German Open: Only 1 MS seeded player to make it to the Semi-Finals?

    .
If this is true, then only 1 MS seeded player, BCL, will make it to the Semi-Finals.

2009 German Open: CL is given only a 12:1 chance to defeat WCH

    .
That would be one of the biggest upsets in this tournament, if WCH (WR14) gets defeated by CL (WR213). Even in our PAW Games, CL is given only a 12:1 chance to defeat WCH.

If HJH can defeat WCH in straight sets, I don't see why CL can't beat WCH.
    36 pts and why not?

In just 6 hours' time, we shall know if CL can defeat WCH

    .
HJH is WR54, only 40 below WCH... so it's not such a big upset.

One day CL will get to defeat WCH. But don't think it's today.
Anyway, in just 6 hours' time, we shall know if CL can defeat WCH this time.

2009 German Open MS QF: Will Chen Long defeat Wong Choong Hann?

    .
In speed and stamina perhaps. But when it comes to experience and tactical play, WCH has the advantage.
