From my understanding, doing squat training will help in explosive jumping. However, my current plan at the moment is to simply increase workload until threshold. Is there any other method of squatting, or some regimen that is recommended?

going from a full squat below parralel into jumping as high as you can go. without weights ofcourse.

as you get stronger you can hold a 20kg plate or wateva.
Normal squats are fantastic to build leg strength so i suggest u keep doing it. but if u wanna build that explosive power then you need to jump as high as you can from a squat below parralel. and this will increase your strength and explosive power substantially.

    I second this...

Box jumps are great for developing explosive jumping power.
