    how much alcohol?

The same amount of alcohol will affect each person differently (despite legal limits). So a large person can consume more than a small person to attain the same concentration in the body.

Regular drinkers will also be more tolerant of alcohol than the occasional drinker.

So no hard and fast rule on the amount. If taking alcohol works for you, you will have to judge your own limits. Does ethanol come under one of the banned substances in sports?

well... i dont drink unless it's a "sepcial occasion" which has not occured but once... so... i kno i got a huge tolerance for alchohol... 1/2 bottle of red wine wont affect me much except making my face red ^^" but I'm still careful about not drinking too much so it wont affect my reflexes... but last time it wore out way too early before the tourney... ( and no.. i'm not gonna carry around with me a wine bottle ^^").. so... jus wonderin how much to take in still ><

and i dun think they can catch you... unless u take in an excessive amount... cuz before they can test it... most of it will be outta ur system ^^

    Testing alcohol

It would still be in your urine.
If you want alcohol to affect your game, it would be logical that you need alcohol still in your blood stream while playing. This alcohol would still be in your urine after the match and thus you could still be tested positive.

i think the differences are really quite minor. I'd rather increase my skill than drink alcohol before the game. I'll drink the wine after I've won the match!!!

playing badminton drunk is not a good idea... especially playing with a drunk in doubles... lots of clashes and lots of being hit by racquet..

Doing anything drunk (including sex) is probably a bad idea. You probably wouldn't remember anything, anyhow so what's the point.

Only thing you can do is to sleep it off:D

My alcohol intake the night before is usually proportional to how early I have to get out of bed the next day. However, I usually save the real drinking until after my customary second round exit.

I did once forget about a match and was moderately drunk before a singles game. I could not understnad why my father accused me of stupidity following the game. All became clear when watching him in his next game - he was left handed. I remember thinking '**** me he's got a good backhand, I am not going to try his forehand!'

WWC, if your girlfriend looked anything like mine you would realise that sex when drunk is the only option.
