    hey everybody,

whenever im playing with my friends or teammates, they always hit to my deep backhand (usual weakness for all) and 98% of the time i loss the point. Ive gotten better at my backhand straight drop but my backhand clear is just a lob over the net. I dont have any strength difficulties though, my clear sometimes goes out when im hitting at the back. Is it technique on how to hit the bird and point of contact? Or can you just move quicker and do thee "around the head" clear?

    any advice??

Try increasing your wrist strength for the motion necessary to make a backhand. I know you said that you have no trouble clearing, but that uses more of your arm whereas backhand is almost entirely wrist when the shuttle has passed you. Also, a good strategy where possible would be to intercept the shuttle earlier.

Also look at you footwork I find there's a lot of power in pushing your legs back to the net when you're just about after yiu step forward to hit a backhand smash

Try over the head shot? Just try to get in position in time so you can execute it well:)

alternatively u can use overhead shot for ur backhand clears but this consume too much energy though and u will leave kinda big empty spot. in order to do overhead clears, u need to be fast enough to recover n get back to base position.
