Nanna Brosolat, a qualifier who recently broke into the top 50 for the first time, scored the finest win of her career by beating Pi Hongyan, the world number four. The 25-year-old Dane came from 16-19 down in the final game to beat the China-raised French player 21-18, 14-21, 21-19, finishing the match by walking round the court with her hands on her head in disbelief at what she had achieved. "I can't remember the last five rallies and I didn't know what the score was. I only remember the last one," Brosolat said. "For a long time I have been thinking about winning and losing and I tried just to enjoy it and think about what I am trying to do." Brosolat paid tribute to the breakthrough which her compatriot Tine Rasmussen has made in the last couple of years. "When I see she's beating the best and then I practise with her, it makes me feel that I have a chance to do the same," she said. Her website http://www.nannabrosolat.dk/
its is a great improvement....she will be the one tat leading danes challenge when the mistake QUEEN retired....still have room of improvement...gambateh....
You didn't see her in the semifinal of All England 2009?? Maybe you mean you havent seen her in action since Sudirman Cup 2009? Because she got injured at that point and has been struggling with the same injury ever since. Only played Singapore Open and a couple of danish league matches after that. She is still injured even now, not even able to do any training. But she is hoping to make a comeback to the training courts soon I think. Hope the best for her.
No wonder Nanna will not participate in upcoming EBC. Yup, she did pretty good in AE last year, being semifinalist, lost to eventual winner Wang Yihan. Waiting her comeback for international competition...
Nanna might turn out just like Tine Rassmusen she wasn't an amazing play before she was injured, but came back better
Alas, no more Nanna on the international tour as she has decided to quit international badminton. Although finally physically fit she is unable to find the motivation (and energy) to work all the way back to 2009 level after two injury and rehabillitation filled years. She will now start with her new study Nutrition & Health and continue to play in the Danish League . Some facts about Nanna Brosolat Jensen Born: 2 January 1984 Height: 170 cm.
