Currently using the old Carlton AirBlade900 ( really head-heavy, which I love). Any suggestions for really head-heavy ISO racket? The new Carlton range, which is most head-heavy: 9900 Tour or 9902 or?? or how about Apacs brand? Budget below RM300.
I am average recreational player, 1/week doubles only. I am control player, who likes occasional power smashes.

Why do you want a really head heavy racket if you're not a particularly advanced, control player? You'd probably be better with something more balanced.

well whats wrong with him getting a head heavy racket, as long as he likes it, why not? :p

and yea Woven 11 is also an option to consider.

My 'control' of game not much affected by Head-heavy rackets, instead it gives more 'punch' + 'more powerful baseline smashes'. Well... still winning games so far... :)

Thanks... well I guess its a matter of personal preference... ( but most who tried my AB900 said its too head-heavy for them, but for me its... 'lots of power'!!! ) Pity cant find SOTX rackets ( Woven 11 or 7 ) in Malaysia. From APACS forum, seems AMP95 might be a good choice... anyone to support my choice??

err AMP95 is nice but not "super" head heavy :D Furious 2000 and VSH1800 also in the same criteria with AMP95...why dont you try them.....APACS came from your country, must be more easy for you to get it them :D

    Good answer ;)

I'd probably look at the AMP95 (not REALLY head heavy but not head light either. For an intermediate, it should be OK).

Can't get SOTX? I think you can. Check out Mybadmintonstore, they have the Woven 7 for RM368 (free worldwide shipping by airmail or a little extra for 2-3 days couriering). Despite being RM68 out of budget, of the two rackets, I'd recommend the SOTX. If your budget isn't that flexible, look at the Woven 7i which is slightly cheaper at RM345.73. If it is less flexible than that, go for the Apacs AMP95.

Thanks very much! ... after some comparisons... I find Apacs is more 'value for money' since this brand is 'cheap' in Malaysia; eg. AMP95 is only RM250 ( with Bag + string ). So, anyone familiar which is the most 'head-heavy' Apacs racket - Lethal 35 or NP9900 or ....?? :)

Thanks everyone for your suggestions, I just bought an Apacs Lethal 35 ( RM250 with bag, string, grip). BG80, 24lbs. Visually, its quite nice... with red + white color combination. And also the unique 'thick head' of "4 Oval ports"... should be my kind of 'really' head-heavy racket :D. Will review it after I play this weekend... cant wait!
