ok, my strings are getting loose on my AT 500, they are BG-65 Ti, i was thinking should i stick with BG-65 Ti or switch to BG-70 Pro, which one should i choose???
I used the BG 65ti as well. I liked the smashing power, the sound and the durability. The only other string I've tried is the Ashaway Micro Legend 0.69 and it felt wierd. Hard to describe as power was there and control was not bad but just felt......hollow? So today I cut the strings and I am trying out the BG 80, which sacrifices a little durability for greater repulsion.I will be trying it out tonight and see if I can tell the difference.
bg 70 pro seems to be a realy good choice seeing it s good for smashes and has durability and some control
Just came back from 2.5 hrs of playing with the ARC 10 strung with BG80 at 26 lbs. I gotta say it is much more solid than the Ashaway ML. The increase in tension from 24 to 26 made the bird just fly off the racquet. No aching shoulder or elbow either. The strings made the bird exactly where I hit it, which is not always where I wanted it to go . All in all, a good combination.
I quite like them both, actually. Saying that, not many people do so I shan't recommend them. IMO, BG-66 or BG-85 would be great choices if you're not a frequent string breaker, if you are, look towards BG-80 or BG-70 pro.
