2009 Swiss Open: Expecting Tanongsak vs Gong Weijie at Qualification Round 2

    .
Having another look at today's matches, it is found that Gong Weijie would probably again face Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk at Qualification Round 2 at 4:00pm.

Just last week, GWJ defeated TS at the All-England Qualification Round 2, with GWJ winning 19-21, 21-16, 21-14, in 0:48.

It's such a strange thing that they are to meet again so soon. Can GWJ do it again this time?

Releasing the draw on the eve of a Badminton tournament

    .
It is quite time consuming for us to check the draw every day... to find out who is withdrawing from tournaments. I still think the idea of releasing the draw on the eve of a tournament is the best way of doing things.

Is it up to the BWF president to decide?

    .
So you think it's up to the BWF president to decide. Even if it's so, he would still need to consult with National Associations and Tournament organisers.

Our 2009 Swiss Open (Day 1) thread is so quiet

    .
Woke up this morning and found that our 2009 Swiss Open thread is so quiet.
Perhaps everyone is tired after following the 2009 All England last week.

Anyway, Day 2 (Round 1) offers us more exciting matches: click here
