Well, I would assume its a shot that either a) The player made popular 2) The player uses all the time Some examples would be Taufik's backhand smash, or Peter Gade's thingy
A frequently used stroke which characterizes their game, or something they do that is so original and badass that when you say their name the stroke immediately comes to mind.
Examples like LD's around the head smashes, LCW's forehand crosscourt slice smash, TH's backhand smash, PG's crosscourt fake. TH: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEsARpxuYTM PG: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CK5BBjAsI44
Whoever this Lin Dan fellow is, I still have 21 chances to hit the net and make my shot roll over. And I normally get between 3 - 4 of those per game. So I'll serve eventually and get my trademark shot off.
LOL.......... I guess either sarcasm or some people just play the sport and don't follow it. but Lin Dan, the Olympic Gold medalist... come on!!!
See, you did know who he was. So why did you lie before and pretended not to know? Anyways, this Lin Dan guy's trademark shot is to always win against people who are named Joseph. I have also heard that he has the ability to never concede his serve against people who are named Joseph Pe*****.
Doesnt matter how many joseph(s) are there, no joseph can beat lin dan at the moment, even LCW is finding it difficult to beat lindan, he is just too fast on the court
the only joseph that might have a shot at lindan is currently ranked 318 at this point. Joseph ROgers is his full name. i would love to see lin dan trash him at any given tournament
It's usually a shot which is often used by the player. Most of the time, it's THEIR stroke as no one can perform it this good or this way. Gade's fake, Taufik's backhand smash, etc. It's probably also one their favorite shot.
dose my drive serve count as a trademark shot? im like the only one that serves as a drive in my school tho
