Hi, after searching around the forum I've decided to buy the ns800. I am wondering which string would be best and at what tension. I like to play doubles defensively and I'm not really good at smashing. I'm more into durability. Going to buy it from badmintonavenue.com.

I would say a high tension since you don't like smashing so it'll be more like control and if you want durability, BG 65. Therefore, 28 lbs, BG 65.

Going at a high tension for durability is pointless. Go with BG65 at a low tension like 23lbs

But I told him to go to a high tension not for durability but for control since he does not like smashing.

I'd imagine that because he has an NS800, he's only a beginner/intermediate. Therefore, high tensions probably aren't the greatest idea. I'd say BG-65 or BG-80 at 20-24Lbs.

Since he is a defensive player playing at a higher tension will be harder than playing at a lower tension.
