I am thinking of buying an armortec 900P or 300 or 700. Dont know yet, I need to check my money first. I am buying it in Sport Expert, which is a store in Canada that sells Badminton rackets and others. When I check in Sport Expert, I realize all the racket i want arent string. I Want to know how long does it takes the machine to string the badminton racket.
So, if i buy a racket that is not strung yet, I need to wait a long time before i actually get my racket ?
It all depends on the stringer, the amount of racquets to be strung, etc.. There's no fixed time for you to wait to get your racquet strung
Not sure what is the difference with the new racquets. I'm looking at the newer styles badminton racquets this past week at the stores and they all look the same from the old racquets. Pretty much the same pattern.....and just a FYI.....for those who question about my stringing. I used to work for Collegiate Sports aka Sport Expert, Sporting Life and the Players Challenge for tennis pros.
No, it's not that hard. You need to know how to pre-string the racket (thread the strings through) then use the machine to tension a string and then clamp it. Another important skill is tying off the strings well. Please see some of the videos in the stringing techniques/tools thread. They will explain it much more clearly.
I agree with Dansteven........don't forget crossover long strings at the bottom to prevent long strings between holes from sliding side to side. Also use very small leather piece for holes next to the throat of the racquet. Takes away the stress and angle of the strings.
I assume tennis racket is easier to be strung than badminton, due to less number of main + cross, and tennis string is more rigid, which means easier to be thread through shared gromments?
You are almost all right on your assumptions. I want to bring up that all modern tennis racquet after 2000 are all single pass grommet. Only the tie off knot are shard. Also, the space between the string are much bigger to make it easier to string.
