    Hello,
I just moved to Manhattan Beach in LA and I'm looking for a place to play. There's the Manhattan Beach Badminton Club, but it seems to be a private club with limited memberships. Is that place like a country club except that they play badminton instead of golf?
Anyway, where does everybody else in South Bay play?

Well I've never been there, but most badminton clubs offer memberships and also have a drop in fee for non-members. I think you can still play there, just pay the drop-in fee.

Not too many places. The only ones I know are Manhattan Beach and Torrance YMCA ( which is once a week on Fridays from 6-10 pm). There are other places but since places to play are scarce (and very crowded) around South Bay it is very unlikely anyone will let you know any since it would mean less playing time for them.

As for Manhattan beach, unless your willing to kiss some serious ass or have lots of $$$ or skills, they will never admit you.

Your best bet for a place to play would be outside of southbay like arcadia or san gabriel.

    Good luck.
