    just broke my 3rd Ti-10 :(
ok. Ti -10 is quite fragile as it is very slim but 1 of them was my fault.
Hit the floor while i was trying to safe a shot in the competition.

As you all know, Ti-10 is not exactly cheap. Can anyone think of any cheaper replacement in terms of feel, power and control?

    Thanks

Hey me tooo... Just this saturday.
    I bought ns9900 as a replacement.
It's not cheaper.....but the transition is not difficult since it's a head light racquet as well. Moves real fast through the air and very stiff shaft.

might wanna try apacs rackets too, they are coles of evil empire's (yonex) products.

    www.apacsusa.com

DISCLAIMER: I have tried apacs rackets but do not own any, I am loyal to yonex lol

LOL phandrew. i was just gonna say that NS 9900 is not cheaper.
am using that now for the time being (borrowed one from my friend).

Broke both because of mishits, i.e. hit the frame when i was going for the smash (maybe because i string them both at 25 lbs?)

navdeep. I've tried apacs too. i'm my opinion, although they look similar to yonex rackets, they don't feel the same.

oops! my bad, I mistakenly forgot that you wanted a cheaper replacement. I agree with you that apacs rackets do not feel the same except for the paint job.

You might wanna try www.mybadmintonstore.com to get a wide range of options.

As for the Nanospeed 9900 part, I was just joking lol.

SOTX Woven series has excellent durability so have a look into that.

I broke my Ti-10 last week. Yesterday someone playing with us broke another one. If you are buying another one...well good luck. I personally won't go for it again.

i just broke mine too (3rd gen) :(
dunno what happened though .. was playing with it last nite then i suddenly noticed it looked like it was out of shape ... and i wasnt playing too well either ... prolly coz of the racket :p
it didnt really break yet ... just the frame has giant crack lines and the head was starting to deform due to string tension ...
sent it back to shop to try and claim warranty .. it was less than 2 months old

i think MAYBE my cracked/broken racket might have suffered clashes with the court more than a few times .. that prolly led to the fracture
frankly i didnt expect a relatively expensive racket from YY to be so fragile .. the fastest i ever broke a racket was the 2nd time of using it .. thats donkey years ago with a cab15

yes .. findecano1 .. my racket was badly fractured ... it has been returned to shop yesterday to try and claim for warranty .. will take apprx 3 months i was told .. its the racket shop in puchong .. he said very good chance of claiming after looking at the racket .. worst case scenario will the the 50% thingy that the shop gives sometimes .. hehehehe .. so either way i dont really lose out :p

ps ... racket was strung at close to 27lbs i think ... the shop proprieter cut the strings b4 putting it in a bag to be sent to YY to claim for warranty .. i tot the strings have to be attached for warranty purposes ?? doesnt matter ... as long as it work :p
