If you're in San Mateo, you should be able to go to Bay Badminton Club or Golden Gate Badminton Club. Just drop in and tell the people at the desk who you are. I think most clubs should be friendly and be able to set you up with people to play with.
Thank you Joseph. I found Bay Badminton Club is nearer to the hotel. And they have a perfect drop-in time and fee. Will go there definitely.
