I have just started playing badminton (well not just started, i just play for fun times to time). And I happen to own a Ti-10 1st edition (extra stiff, long ass racket). I'm a guy with a girl's hand, but for some reason I have a hard smash (maybe the abnormally long arm?). Basically I have small hands (girl size hand, small wrist too) and kindda weak (probably stronger than girls but definitely on the weak end when it comes to guys). I find the racket too heavy, and stiff. I wanna get another racket that fit me better now that I actually have some knowledge about the game. Probably something lighter and more flexibility? I'm feeling too much vibration when I hit with my current racket and I don't like it. I'm looking at some wilson K series, and some yonex nano speed (i prefer Isometric head).... something in the 100 bucks range would be good recommendations?
Wilson K PRO and Wilson K STRIKE T8006 YY NS6000 or YY TI5 That is only my opinion~~~~~"Basically I have small hands" you should buy G5 size
G5 for yonex? or other brands? I think yonex grip size is backward compare to the other company? The NS6000 is about 120 bucks and the Wilson K strike is only 90 The other wilson I'm looking at is the tour/pro/lite and I'm really really leaning toward the lite... I'll come to the shop tomorrow to check them out, but it's kindda hard since we don't get to hit birds with it, just kindda feel it out (sucks to pop 100 bucks like that haha).
Try asking the store if they have demos because most stores do also look into the Kfactor Kblade, its a pretty nice light racket
if you're feeling too much vibration, then it's not the racket your using. your not used to the form of the the sports. your new so your probably not swinging correctly. if you do it right i assure you you'll love your racket. just play a lot and over time you'll develop the muscle you need to swing/smash.
Nanospeed 7700 or K pro or K brave. K lite specs read flexible and 80g. That would be so light that you may not have a strong enough hit anymore. My friends K brave is not stiff but not flexible so in between and it's average weight.
yep, my ti-10 is "extra-stiff", that sucka wouldn't budge and I'm throwing my shoulder out swinging it. I actually went to the store and surprisingly they have the Kakalah SL70... That thing is LIGHT, infact, it's too dam light, I don't think I can generate enough power with that thing. It's too bad, because I kindda liked it. The K series is alright, for some reason it just didn't feel right in my hand, a little too stiff too (I was holding the K-lite). The owner didn't give me a discount on the NS6000 so I can't afford it. I ended up with a Armortech 300. I guess I'm leaning toward yonex since I like the durability of my Ti-10, it's a 4U racket so it's light, and feels about right. I'll pick it up tomorrow and test it out on monday. I have PG-80 on it @ 23 pounds.
the problem is everything else is big, except for the hand size haha. I think now a day when they see babies with my condition, they give them hormone (basically lacking hormone when I was born and that lead to small wrist/hands). Guys about my size, their hands are like 1.5X larger than mine.
