2 Djarum players are competing in the Int Series tourney:

Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka [6] and Bandar Sigit Pamungkas. Both passed their first test just now. Hayom will face Michal Meteja, while Bandar will face Sune Gavnholt [5] in 2 hrs time.

I expect them to win and progress to the QF tomorrow.

As expected, Hayom is through to the QF tomorrow after yet another easy victory. He's expected to face the top-seed Jan Vondra tomorrow. Christian Lin Thomsen [4] should then be stand between him and a Final spot.

A straight-set victory for Bandar as well. He shall await Kristian Midtgaard in the QF and possibly Sven Eric Kastens in the SF.

Jan Vondra ran out of gas in the last game against Ben Beckman of England just now... So, it will be Hayom versus Ben tomorrow... ;)

I personally think that only Christian Lin Thomsen can give big problems for Hayom in this tournament. If Hayom can beat Christian, then the title will most likely be his... ;)

    OK...I didn't follow up on Jan's match :p

Indeed...Christian Lind Thomsen had beaten Hayom before, last year.

Hayom and Bandar won! :D Next round, there will be a rematch between Hayom vs. Christian Lind Thomsen, who defeated Hayom in Toulouse, France, last year...

Bandar will face Riichi Takeshita of Japan who just finished a 1 hour long marathon fight. I think Bandar will have an edge if the match is played later today (4pm Romania time)... :)

Riichi Takeshita was lucky to win the past 2 matches. Yesterday, he saved 5 match pts when facing the second-seed. Today, he saved another 1 match pt when facing the seventh-seed.

Bandar will need to be careful and need to finish the match fast. Riichi is able to catch up, as shown in the past 2 matches too. Yesterday, he was trailing 11-16 in the rubber-set, and had 5 match pts against him. Today, he trailed 8-13 in the second set, yet able to win it 21-19. In the third set, the GER player also had a 16-12 lead, only to be overtaken at the end

Hayom will face a tough match against Christian Lind Thomsen. The Danish player beat him in straight-set last year  Can we have an all-INA Final tomorrow?

Still tight matches for both players. The Danish player leads 11-10 at the interval of the second set. Meanwhile, Bandar is slightly ahead 6-3.

Bandar extends the lead to 11-3 at the interval of the second set. Barring any major collapse, he should probably seal this match. Over in the other match, it's still tit for tat as the scores are tied at 13-13.

Bandar Sigit Pamungkas is through to the Final after a straight-set 21-19, 21-5 victory over Riichi Takeshita. He now awaits either Hayom or the Danish player.

Still 18-17 to the Danes in the second-set.
