Yes Beijing Olympics was the last tournament as a part of the national team for these 2 guys.
They had a retirement ceremony at the Copenhagen Masters along with Kenneth Jonassen. Kenneth just had a little extra after he made it to the final, but since Eriksen/Lundgaard didn't play, they only had one on the evening before the finals.

Eriken now works full time for a shipping company called DSV. He also worked there while he was on the national team, just only working part time. He also coaches his daugthers girl handball-team.:D
He still plays in the danish league for defending league champions Greve. Most of the time playing mens doubles with Lars Paaske on the team.

Lundgaard is working full time for Forza, a job he started about 6 months before retiring. He also plays in the danish league for middle-rankers Værløse. Usually playing the mixed doubles with Kamilla Rytter Juhl.

    I Know

    M. Lundgaard is currently a mens doubles player in the Danish Badminton League, where he plays for Værløse. His partner changes a lot, he also works as a coach for Værløse. Jens Eriksen is only a coach now, he coaches Greve also from the Danish Badminton League.

Danish seems to have the most organize and supported badminton league in the world but not much is known about the league in Asia
