The equipment review section is a great idea, but individual "reviews" are sometimes lacking. I suggest the following guidelines for posting reviews:

    1. Please don't ask "How much?" or "Price?" This section features product reviews, and no portion of this website is a retail or mail order store. If you want information on where to find racquets for sale and at what price, post a message on the message board in the Badminton Central Forum section of the website or visit some of the store links in the Equipment Retailers area of the B.C. website.

    2. Add some detail, especially with racquet reviews. A review that states: "I like this racquet," "Great racquet" or "Good racquet for singles" does not give us enough information to make a reasonable evaluation of the product. Please provide the following information:

    - approximate weight of the racquet
    - weight distribution (head-heavy, head-light, evenly balanced, etc...)
    - shape of racquet head (square/isometric, traditional oval, aero, etc...)
    - stiffness of the racquet
    - special features of the racquet (titanium mesh used in frame, special flex point of shaft, new technological feature, etc...)
    - description of racquet's appearance, especially if there is no photo for that particular racquet.
    - amount of time you have played with this racquet before submitting review.
    - how does the racquet feel and perform? What are the racquet's strengths and weaknesses? Is it powerful for smashes or weaker but great for quick, defensive shots?
    - how durable is this racquet? If it has broken, please describe the circumstances.
    - what sort of player would like this racquet (beginner, intermediate or advanced, singles or doubles or both, offensive, attacking style or controlled, defensive style, etc....)?
    - what racquet(s) do you currently play with and how does this racquet compare with any other brand and model racquet of a similar type that you have used?
    - Is this racquet a good value? How much did you pay for it and from where did you purchase it? If the racquet is not commonly available, if you know of any mail order stores that carry this racquet, please provide their website URL, e-mail address or phone number, if you know this information.
    - Would you recommend this racquet to other players or is there a comparable racquet that you feel performs better or is a better value? Why do you like the other racquet(s) better?
    - If you have looked at the manufacturer's website and found it informative about this particular product, please provide the company's web address.

Please provide similar information to the above when writing reviews of shuttlecocks, strings, shoes, etc...

    3. Out of courtesy to the many genuinely interested badminton fans who view this review section, please do not make childish, non-informative comments or comments that unreasonably attack other reviewers. However, if you disagree with another reviewer's opinion, please feel free to set forth a polite, constructive criticism of why you feel that review is not accurate.

I know that completing a review with the detail listed above will be more time-intensive, but the added information will be very valuable to anyone looking at the review and will definitely be worth the effort.

Kwun, perhaps if you would add some or all of these guidelines to the introduction of the review section, it would result in better, more useful reviews. Thanks.
