    anybody used this machine before?

    seems to be well built.

i know constant pull is nice but i despise drop weight and i cannot afford electronics in any form (including the "Wise")

Hmmm, it's simply an Alpha DC Plus minus the drop weight. I would stay away from it.

Okay, here is how it works:

    (1) head for Eagnas's LA office
    (2) inspect the machine before payment
    (3) bring the Panda along (Panda has very good relationship with Victor, the boss)

Seriously, your $500 ceiling is a limit of getting a quality table top machine.

I've actually heard great things about the Alpha Revo 4000. I would've bought that machine instead of the laserfibre/stringway if i decided to go with a crank.

Kwun..if you're thinking about getting the WISE electronic tensioner then this would be a great machine to add this mod too.

I agree with Pete here that Eagnas might be an good option here. Get the Panda to go with you. Also, go visit OCBC while you are picking up the machine. Ask if you can skip the sales tax if you pay in cash.

I wonder if it's that the panda has a good relationship with Victor or that he is just bigger and scarier lol.

NO, Panda does not terrorize people. Panda is very nice and good until he got on the badminton court... Be afraid, be very very afraid. Killer panda is on the court.

    Classic post.

I'd imagine Eagnas would be OK providing you were in close proximity to them for when (no, if) you got problems.

just saw Pete's photos of the Gamma 6004. that's a beautiful machine.

how does the Gamma ST II and X-ST compare to it in terms of design and build quality?

According to others, they are the same thing except for material of the base. One is made with high-impact resistant plastic and the other is aluminum alloy.

if you are living in the US, then you can go to check at their warehouse, but if you live in Asia then it had better purchase directly from Lily & Lee and the price is very cheap as well, example if I have US$ 500, then just add another US$50 I can get 2 sets of Challenger-2 machine including shipping cost to Singapore using DHL :D

Alpha Revo 4000 is one of the most recommended machine by www.tennis-warehouse.com and you can get at here

And yes Alpha Revo 4000 has the brake system which is very important if you string Prince O3 series racquet (tennis), but for badminton it is not necessary at all.

Gamma 6004 is very good machine, especially the clamps and special pad for badminton.
You can check the price at www.atssports.com

i am still undecided on the machine.

Mark from Alpha recommended the simple Alpha Shuttle Express. his claim is that flying clamps are faster to use.

will i see much difference between these machines:

    - Eagnas Combo 810
    - Gamma X-ST
    - Alpha Revo 4000
    - Alpha Shuttle Express

i want something good quality, not some machines with slipping support, clamps, etc.
