well i know how to hit them, but i want to disguise them and make them deceptive. How do i make cross court drops/smashes with little movement? do i twist the wrist at the last second or angle my arm to the direction im hitting?

I don't know about the others. But here's what I do.

I face my shoulder opposite my cross-court smash/drop.

    OR

    I do a slice.

I find the best way is to move the hand at the last moment, so that you can see the topside (hairy side in my case!) of your hand on impact.

The best way is to learn how to use the whip technique. Which is a strong flick of the wrist in a short amount of time, which makes sense for a better deceptive shots. The shorter your swing, the less time it is for the opponent to tell what you're doing, and harder to watch your racquet movement because it's so fast. You should look it up and get some more details on it. However, you need a very strong wrist for this, or else you're gonna hurt yourself; get training. =)

To be honest, I thought all you had to do was to pronate your hand less if you wanted to slice it to the left and pronate more if you wanted to slice it to the right...anyone agree with me? I didn't know you could flick during a smash, doesn't that hurt and feel unnatural?

Well, it is called the whip, and that's how you use it. It's actually a lot more efficient and quick. To tell you thruth, it did feel unnatural at first, and it kinda did hurt, but eventually I got used to it. If you can master this, you'll have amazing power.

this is my best shot here is how I play it
Line it up as if you are going to clear it then sort of push it towards your desired position
The next shot will propably be a net shot so make sure your there in time
Remember to mix it up and don't make it predictable otherwise your opponent will be waiting for it that's for the cross court drop

Try to use your backhand to do the same things, in case it doesn't deceive your opponents, it will surprise them :D
