My YY Nanospeed 8000 just broke and i found a piece of plastic like sticky thing inside of the broken shaft!!!Tell me what you guys think!!!!
I think that's normal. Most rackets have that plastic tube inside it. My guess it's for molding purposes.
You can choose what you want to believe it is: a) a diet-soda straw b) plastic mould tubing c) UHMWPE (ultra high molecular weight polyethylene) UHMWPE is the same as HMPE and HPPE. These are subsets of polyethylene. Discounting all the marketing bull, my choice is (b)
I think all badminton shafts are hollow? You can't have a solid shaft!! Revise your physics lessons!!!
What is the difference? Dear members who posted earlier, I just broke a NS8000 shaft and take a picture for demo purpose and to make a point. Please tell me the difference between the picture in first post and my post. Alsoif you break all YY shaft, every one of them will look like this. XLR88, I hope you did not pay too much for your NS8000.
I broke 2 Cab30s and cut up the shaft (for collection). Neither have the plastic balloon. I did see a similar balloon when I cut up my APACS.
