yonex armortec 30

Firstly, this should be in the equipment forum. Secondly, the AT30 is a very, very llow end Yonex racket that not many of us (understandably as it is likely to be very ordinary) have taken an interest. If you want to buy Yonex, spend more. If not, look at another brand. I'm quite sure the AT30 isn't worth buying.

The AT30, AT50 and AT70 MG are on the lower end of the Armortec line. It looks like they're replacing the AT150, 250 and 500. They do incorporate some of the features of the higher end Armortecs and are all made in Taiwan. Except for the AT50, they are medium flex racquets. The AT30 at less than $100 US, is the bottom of the Armortec series, but judging from the prices for the AT50 and AT70, Yonex looks to be targeting intermediate and advanced players.

Just beacause the number is low dosent mean it's bad
Ask if you could test the racket before you buy it
I also think that mp45 91$ is just the same as ns200 61$

 

I think the AT70MG is more an intermediate/low advanced racket.
Its the first racket from Yonex that uses a special frame to increase sweet spot.
Fairly expensive also.

 

I disagree there. Low end Yonex rackets tend to be pretty awful in comparison to what else you could get for the money. OK, the AT70 may not be as bad but the thread was started about the AT30 which is the lowest end of the Armortecs and really not worth buying. You can try to defend low end Yonex rackets all you like but you could get much better rackets at the same price.

 

Actually, I find the AT30 a great racket for Beginner and intermediate players. Its pretty Flex, and has a nice head heavy balance. Some kids at my school use it, and they seem fine with it.

Bang for the buck, i agree with Danstevens, it isn't the best deal ever, but from the feel, its not a waste of money either.

I have the AT30! It maybe low-end but it sure was a good beginner racket for me! I'm still learning what is heavy and lighter of rackets, I would say the AT30 is quite light for me. I'm at intermediate level now and still continue to use my trusty AT30

 

Racket not important...footwork and stamina is the key.

 

Without even finding out why the OP wants feedback about AT 30, I find it strange that higher-end rackets are being suggested. Low end Yonex rackets may be "worthless" to advanced players. But for beginners like us they are the entry-point and that's why they are there. To think any manufacturer would make "worthless" or "awful" rackets, is beyond my comprehension. I play with a Yonex Carbonex (TW made), and I'm pretty happy with it.

Back to the topic; I don't have any experience with this racket. However, Paul (badminton-coach) had posted an AT 30 review.

@laoxguy - may be you can give further details about your game or why you are looking at AT 30 in the first place.
