Using a radar-gun, my backhand smash has officially been clocked at 117mph or 188kph (and I wasn't even warmed up yet ) ... I could have easily made it through the 5th Round Survivor Competition with only using my backhand Cheers!
It's been a very long time ago since I was U19! Unfortunately, I was the organizer & MC of the event, and the radar-gun was the biggest hit of the night (pun intended). With all the surviving competitors using their forehand smash, 4 competitors were faster and 2 was tied with my backhand smash, and I didn't even warm up! Cheers!
