is part of marketing strategy. limited edition means certain quantity produced. if yonex provide it to the players, how many to produce then?
Exactly and plus, it tends to be the same racket as one without the limited paint job so chances are, the pros/other people lucky enough to be sponsored by Yonex won't care anyway. Limited edition rackets often aren't aimed at the players anyway, they're aimed at collectors/enthusiasts. Yonex badminton rackets are an example but not a brilliant one as they generally play well too. A better example is the Prince Ozone Sovereign tennis racket. One of the most expensive new tennis rackets money can buy, limited edition, looks very nice but hits like a "granny stick" (not sure if any of the badminton only players will know that term - really light racket with a massive headand far too much power to let any half decent player take any sort of swing at the ball).
talking about expensive. RSL diamond collector racket. comes with real diamonds.... wonder if there is any member here using it to play badminton?
