Just got my RSL Gold from Permai Sport for RM$290 include 3 zip RSL bag+ grip + BG66. String at 25 lb. Result..great..was looking for a lighter racket than my Wilson Ktour as I played a lot of doubles. And this one fit me just nice. A lot of smashing power...the racket is not as stiff as Ktour or Victor SW32. Victor SW32 is very heavy and stiff good when your hand is strong.
How I like it? Played today with a lot of power...the only complain is it's too shiny...the shine is magnified my the curvature around the oval head. Some of my friends are asking whether it will be ban in tournament as it is too shiny but some that tried it mentioned that it got a good feel.
Anyway, I love it. Both Gold and Silver are the same weight as I measured them with a scale but Gold are stiffer and slightly head heavy...that's the reason I bought it..need the head weight power when smashing but it very easy to manouver. Great racket. Measured without string is 89 gram on scale but might be too light for some.;)

Kota Raya, JB..no indication of where is it made. I think most probably is China as you will not be able to get it this cheap if it's made in Japan..or other expensive country..

When you purchase RSL, you must look carefully at the coloring at racket. Sometimes the workmanship is not up to standard. Before purchasing X3 gold, i was tempted to buy laser 8900 but the workmanship is like..:crying:. So waited for a month for X3 gold.. satisfying! Only 3U available.

What is the string model and pound recommended for this racquet?

The badminton court i went has many broken RSL, i think are strung too high pound,

Sealman, you are right..their stringing is one of the best in JB. My understanding there are 3 very highly recomended stringing shop...(1) Larkin Stadium - most of Johor player string there (2) HongLee (Near Lien Hoe Complex) and of course (3) Permai.

RSL broken..I have another RSL 6800 which I have used for 3 years ..still in perfect condition. Either they clash during doubles or really string at very high tension.. The spec is 28 lbs ..mine I string at 25 lb..so that's why mine last longer... :)

I check my x3. The coloring of the racket also not very consistent.

You all must look out carefully before purchase..

I think RSL is only made in China. Their plant is there and their company hq is HK.

Hi, it took me about one month plus (playing twice a week) to familiarize with the racket.. its light (88gm) but with head heavy which is kinda nice for smashing.. was thinking to give up when i 1st tried out the racket :crying: but now ... i started to like it:) ;) besides, few of my friends also commented its a good racket.. maybe you should consider of getting one :D

Took longer time to get used to the racket as this is lightest racket I ever bought.. (I think so...) Just everything were not so smooth when 1st using it.. Anyhow, its not a problem anymore now... We (the racket & myself) get to "know" each other already... :D
