That is what I am alluding to, CJ to be CHN MS2 for CL to be in LCW half. CL is playing the best baddy in his career and his confidence must be sky high now. But CL still question in majors, while CJ when it comes to major seldom not play well. If all 3 are in OLY12, that is interesting. But based on current match-up against LCW, if I am LYB, I would prefer to have CL in LCW half and prepare him well.

Yes, many BCers are thinking that LCW and LD have better chances of winning the 2012 OG Gold medal.

If LCW and LD were to be drawn in the same half, with CL and PG in the other; I would say that all 4 of them could have equal chances for GOLD.

    Up to this stage of the OG qualification period, I still believe that the seeding could be;

    No.1 LCW
    No.2 CL
    No.3 LD
    No.4 PG
    .

If I am LYB, I would like to have a chinese player to play him in qtr, semi and final. He can't possibly kill 3 in a row like wmc. Unless wmc can be his coach?

You wrong, LCW will retire after 2013. That is when he will not just win a gold medal in Olympic but as well as in Asian games.
And beside, for me he can regain his number 1 rank till his retire.
For now, no one can beat him.

I do not think these 4 have equal chances of winning oly gold.

    LD 50%
    LCW 25%
    CL 25%
    PG 0%

    Let's see next year's OG2012

There might be some show stopper to these top seeded players.

Remember Guatemala's Kevin Cordon beat CL and India's Ajay Jayaram beat KT in the 1st round of WC2011

Depends on how far they can survive without being knocked out or self destruct in the earlier rounds.

Assuming they are in their best condition and they meet in the semis:

    LCW 51%: LD 49%
    CL 60%: PG 40%

    In the finals:

    CL 51%: LCW 49%

But I think upsets could well happen in the early rounds. These forecasts are based on the current performances. How well will these top players perform during London Oly will depend on their physical and mental condition, assuming they continue to train hard.

My 2 cents worth, better for LCW to be ranked lower than 1st going into OLYMPICS & end up as OLYMPIC champion...less pressure when not no. 1?
