Reduce the size of the grip?

You can use overgrip to replace the original grip, which usually much thicker. Yes, you can sand down the grip size, but you need to make sure do it in a balanced way on all sides.

 

Be careful of the smaller grip size. I have found that since I have increased my grip size it help my tennis elbow

 

If the bare wood is still way too big, besides sanding it down, there's nothing you can do.

Babolat VS grip is the thinnest overgrip I've tried. I usually use 1 layer of VS and layer of Yonex on my G4.

You really haven't tried too hard I fear . Just look at the UK website for Apacs rackets, for example. apacs-sports.co.uk. Almost all the apacs rackets come with G4 - it's the standard grip for their rackets. Oh, and their rackets just happen to be great quality and fantastic value for money Just read the reviews on this website!

Oh, don't be so passe Yonex is so 'yesterday' . No, seriously, as a Yonex user myself (AT500), I recently broadened my horizons and dipped my toes into the Apacs seas, buying a Nano 900 Power. I was pleasantly surprised. Give Apacs a go - you may feel the same

your testimonial is quite interesting, but i hope more players can voice their opinion and their experience that using a bigger grip size can help avoid tennis elbow, or is it really true tat tennis elbow "will" happen with when using a smaller grip. i do have tennis elbow before but i was thinking tat i might have some problem with my handling the racket, poor strokes, etc, until i read yr experience.

then many players can have a better understanding and choices. have less injuries and a better game for a long time. Enjoying badminton

 

Having re-read Dinkalot's comments on the Arcsabers, are you sure you don't want to reconsider the Apacs?

 

I just had a very interesting experience relating to this topic today.
I was using APACS AP700 with towel grip, then later I tried out my new Yonex AT600 without any grip. straight-away I can feel the tennis-elbow "feeling" on my hand. Therefore, I think the grip size does play a part, but as to will bigger grip size negate tennis elbow, I think need further experimentation

 

Have you considered looking for smaller grips such as G4 and G5 overseas?
