Hi, Recently, I've been having pains with my bicep (for those who dunno its da upper arm). What would the likely cause be? I'm currently using YY NS9Ks. wether its vibration or growing pains, I dunno. have you had any experience of this and what did you do? Thanks
Racquet too stiff or tension too high. You have to give it a rest and switch to a less stiff racquet or lower tension.
I had some pain in that muscle because of over playing. Too many matches... Just give it a good rest. And yeah, if you're not overdoing it, just do as in the post above
At that time the racket tension was Im guessin roughly 26, bows it's down a few, I saw 24. Arm is ok now, getting another restring on 25ish, gna try it out to see if if was too high aswell as over doing things Thanks
iv been getting a slight pain down the base of my bicep towards the end of my sessions. Its because iv started my hard training program and am playing badminton 4 times a week as apposed to taking year and a half off. So i give a decent rest period until my arm regains strength. Not too sure if your string tension was too high as it was only 26lbs :S right now i use 26 but i used to use 28 so i don't really think that's the problem at all for me lol.
i've been having this when i play around 4 times a week. just played in a tournament and bicep and triceps are in pain but its temporary. Am using Woven7 at 24lbs. Probably the vibration that affecting me. give it 2-3 days. if it hurts too much then take a panadol when necessary. try to massage your arm too, it helps.
Hyper-extension most likely. You know how when they break down the proper swinging technique, your arm should never be at 180 degrees? Well, if you try to generate too much power in your smash, your technique tends to get sloppy. When that happens, you open yourself up to possibly letting your elbow fly open and completely extending your arm. Your biceps don't like it when you do that.
me too, my biceps hurts if i overplay.. 3-4 times a week.. 2 consecutive days at 5-6 hours.. what i do is that, put muscle pain ointment wrap with bandage, and then drink alaxan FR like manny pacquiao commercial.. Rest for 3-4 days.. now, i control my time of playing.. 2-3 hours and 2 times a week..
