Yeah... Still have a lot of bad habits, that's the problem when you have no one to monitor and assess your games. I've been almost a totally self-trained player for so many years until recently I got one coach to train me once a week. Drills are absolutely the best way to improve and I feel more consistent after all.
Luckily, we have more chances to improve by seeking advices via Internet with video recording became relatively more affordable nowadays

I'm the guy in the white and red yonex shirt.
Just a catch up video on improvement.
Ps please ignore my female friend talking sorry. She recorded for me (:
Pros: smash is getting faster steeper
And you guys won't believe this but finally established proper grip (""": smashing is amazingly fun
Technique is getting better (:
Drop shots are getting tighter and net kills are way better then before
Cons: swing to fast and miss time the birdy
Very lazy at times oh my gosh ))):
Split step is missing quite often need to incorporate it more
Racquet is not always up.
And anymore criticism would be appreciated thank you. Third video (:

Well, at this point you really really should get a coach to get proper footwork, and then find suitable opponents where you can actually play rallies
Both of you don't really seem to put in much effort....but that's often the case when you're a beginner. Still, you really shouldn't turn to play the backhand so much, it makes you seem pretty lazy

Please understand I'm not saying that you actually are lazy, just that this game made you look that way. Is there a way for you to get coaching and some (ideally, slightly superior) sparring partners?

You use your arm too much, especially on net shots. Control the net shots by using your wrist.

Yeah, you need to show us a video of you playing against equal or better players.
Another way to increase the length of rallies is to play half court singles.

You played pretty well in the first video, better than me I'll admit :P. Just towards the end, your offense got a little lazy (for lack of a better word) because you took the bird late (though not very often) or didn't commit enough effort to footwork. But great game nonetheless.
