Yeah - i know that my footwork needs quite a bit of work. I haven't been doing any real training for a couple months due to lack of proper facilities.

In the end, it was good I played this match first since I had 2 other finals to play in the night (MD and XD). Lost those in close sets.

    you are good

You are very powerful and aggresive I would say
Your opponent is quick but technigue is wrong
I would say work on footwork and you will get better

I'm actually not sure yet. The next reclassification is in January so I have a while to wait. Also, since I go back to school overseas I won't be able to play in any more tournaments to consolidate my position...so it's just a matter of wait and see.

    Default ^^Looks fun..^^

..one i notice is the bald, short guy with the red shorts. He seems to enjoy playing those trick shots & backhands. Plays a lot with his wrist.

He's a single player mainly, but we enjoyed his participation, it makes us all down to earth. He's 40+

Your communication with your partner in terms of positioning is pretty good - better than mine!

You need to remember to square (stand side to side) when you hit a clear though - don't leave the court too open.

However, I do find it strange when someone serves with their non-dominant side in the front. But that's probably because I was taught to serve with my dominant side in front.
I wonder if one way is more advantageous than the other. It may be slight, but there should be a difference.
There should be a reason why more than 50% of the people that voted in the foot stance thread voted that they served with their dominant side.
you do that, because most players take 2 steps to move to their recieving position after a serve, the steps are left, right, so then you put your right foot out. if you can get to the spot in one step, u put your left foot out orrelse you'll have to drag your left foot around.

The first game with the red shirt friend is the first time I partnered with him and I always had trouble adjusting to the bald guy when partnered with him due to his single style play. Anyways, its easier to see our mistakes from the outside (i.e using videos like this) and the challenge will be to implement it on the court.

The biggest challenge when clearing from the corner base court is that a drop by the opponent onto the clearers side which I found most intermediate player will failed to react on time(which is also my problem). So as a partner I will always resort to the middle of the court to get ready for all possibilities until i am sure he is back to his position.

My ideal partner will always be attacking doubles player with good wrist and court control.

As for my apparent weakness, its the short backhand serve and as most people, the backhand clears to the baseline.

I might upload short rallies of my badminton game in my last racketlon tournament. I was playing pretty good even if I ended not winning it.
